Would seem the Galaxy ventilation is on the limits, even when it's working correctly.........

Regarding my own ventilation problem (definitely stuck on Recirc), anyone got any idea where to start on getting at the actuator/relay? Someone mentioned a TIS CD, but I don't have any idea what this is.

Is it inevitable that I'm going to have to remove the dashboard (be afraid, be very afraid..) or is there a possbility that I can reach up under the dash?

For the record, it's a P-reg V6.

the recirc flap is vacuum operated, it maybe that the switch/valve is stuck? remove the switch and see if you can manually operate the flap by sucking/blowing down the hose! if mot remove the upper glove box (if you have one?) and you should be able to see the actuator

 jeez doing a gooner here

Wolfie,do you mean the stowage bins on top of the dash on a mk2  sorry but you are dealing with a dummy here :D :) merry crimbo one and all :D

recirc flap actuator is IIRC the silver and black canistor next to the intake vent, if you follow the hoses down from the actuator you can see the motorised valve that controls it (this picture is for a CC system, AC systems are switched via the rear of the control knob on the dash)

Hi Phil,

Just read your fault and had exactly the same problem,

We checked the drainage tubes in the wings, the rear washer hose under the carpet, added a little bit of plastic to the pollen filter to stop any splashback...!!! even got a new windscreen thinking it was the seal.!!

Turned out to be the heater matrix..!!!

Look up behind the center consoul... see any water..??? can you smell antifreeze in the cabin..??

If so then its dash out time, matrix was
