Central Locking Problem

Hi,

 

I'm a new boy on the block.

 

I've just bought a Mondeo 16v on a n-plate 95, it's a lovely car but there's one niggling problem

with the central locking. I can't seem to open the doors via the key fob and allways end up using

the key itself on drivers door. being a bit of a novice i was wondering can any of you lot shed some light

on it. could it be that the battery has run out on the fob or maybe a more serious like a sensor.

 

Any kind of idiots guide would be most appreciated.

Start with the batteries in the fob, mine last twelve months at the longest, when the battery is low it displays all sorts of issues such as front doors relocking when you use the key to unlock.
