hi peeps just purchessed a garmin street pilot c510 sat nav just wondered if it was possilbe to change the voices like i could in my pda?

any thoughts ?

No idea? but I do know that you have to click and drag files in order to update/add POI and then delete them once your done :rolleyes: so before you start playing make a complete copy of ALL the files and store them somewhere safe for emergencies! as it has been know for people to delete the wrong files!

ogben.....in my area (eastbourne)my pda kept losing the satilites,and it was a pain in the jacksey having to set it up all the time,lovley bit of kit though just to technical for me,so hence why i bought an idiot proof sat nav,turn on and away you go,i sold my xda on e-bay with all the kit so i cant help you with the holder im afraid.

surely loss of satellite signal would be dpwn to the gps rec - usually the more modern sirfIII based rec are much better than the older sirfII based - what type did you have??

cant remember.....but if i was in the upstairs bedroom then it got the satilites no problem went out side to the car nothing,drive down the road restarted everything fine drove a few miles then lost em again very frustrating,but hey certain parts of the town and you wont recieve a signal on your mobile either.
