Guest VR6! Posted October 1, 2006 Report Posted October 1, 2006 quote... was wondering if anyone could tell me were this immobilizer transponder box is, I also have a Vw Sharan Tdi on a p reg which is probably the most ugly sharan on the road but its only a work horse, also would the locks a transponder boxes be the same so I can get the Galaxy running again. Cheers Adrian If your thinking of swapping it for the set up on the Sharan? DONT! it wont work until its been programmed into the PCM via VAG COM or Fords own diagnostic software! plus yours is a 98 the cross over year! do you have the same style fuse panels in both vehicles? if not? then it definitely wont work as IIRC the PATS system was incorporated into the GEM panel? and where are the parts located? the transponder ring is as nik says located on the steering column around the ignition barrel, the main control box IIRC is behind the dash under the PCM behind the clocks?
