Raer Lights A S Light Switch Problem

Hi hope you can help me

I have a 1996 2.0 16v Ghia X Mondeo and my rear lights and the dashboard lights keep going off , its not a fuse or anything like that, what I have to do is to chnage the entire light switch and that fixes it for a while before it blows again, the last switch I got three weeks out of. All the other lights still work, the rear fogs still work fine as do the brake lights. I cannot understand what could break in the switch or what could cause it.

I can't help to say why it "blows" again but it it only worked for three weeks then I should take it back for a repacement or refund

Hi

I should have said that its the thrid switch I have had in three months, and the one that was in whenI got the car had been changed, it was from the wrong model and it did not have the extra pop out section for the front fogs, I always wonderd why the front fogs did not work. :-)

It justs eems there is something popping the switch yet I cannot see what there woudl be in the switch to blow, loads of pins but nothing that can go pop. Always the same fault to withe rear lights and dashboard lights going off.
