Electric Window Problems.

Hi.

I havent posted on here for a while, but Ive got a problem that I wondered if anyone could help with.

 

The wife drove home from work yesterday with the windows wide open ( :unsure: ) and said they had been down since she put the key in the lock and turned it the "wrong" way.

I know that the windows will open and close via the key, but now I cant get the windows to move back up via the door switches.

The only way I can get the windows to go back up, is to put the key in the door lock and lock the car doors.

I can lower the windows using the door switches, but again, they will only go back up again via the key in the lock.

 

Please can anyone help?

I have a simliar problem with one window, so I'm pretty sure that global closing/opening uses a different wire than normal window switches, one of my rear windows will open/close using the internak switches and will open with global opening but will not close with global closing unless I fiddle with the loom boot to that door - check the door boot loom for broken wires - in your case check the drivers door - see the faq for procedure to remove/install the rubber boot *click on the link in my sig
