sorry - only thing I remember about the rear shocks is to torque them up with the wheels on the ground :D

Hi m8. Have another look at yours, i have holes in the chassis on the other side to the bolt heads (one hidden by exhaust heat shield). It looks as though you can squirt wd40 in through there. Hope this helps.

Hi,

 

looked at the attachment, I assume that is the VW guide. i have the Ford TIS, which is much more basic! The ford TIS just says raise veh, undo, and replace. ( torquing on the ground)

 

I have removed the spare wheel and sprayed into the small holes and will now have to wait until the weekend.

to be honest i dont know i found it on here , whilst looking for something else, and remembered you :)

Changed the rear shocks, really easy. To save worrying about the bolt, i used a torque wrench to undo them, setting at at the specified setting, that way I knew the bolt could take that amount of strain and if they wouldn't undo, they would be siezed, but came undone no problem.
