bigdaddy Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 Are you sure its a galaxy engine and not from the granada,,(((the galaxy was not made in 1987))),,,,,,,,check your part no I am sure it starts with a 93 not 98,,,,,,,,I got a replacement maf from a 1998 mondeo 2.0 16v,,,,,,,,,,,went to ford and I checked the part no and it was listed for all 16v ford engines Quote

MrT Posted September 27, 2006 Report Posted September 27, 2006 The complete TDI MAF unit fits loads of VW/Audi/Seat/Skoda cars and the sensor part of it fits nearly every Bosch MAF unit which means it covers most European cars. The Ford MAF only fits the Ford and therefore there is less demand for it. Quote
Andrew T Posted September 27, 2006 Report Posted September 27, 2006 As the Petrol MAF is of a different type to the Diesel one (wire instead of film?) there was a suggestion that it could be sucessfully cleaned up. Worth a try before coughing up your hard earned dosh? Quote
