I recently got my 130 ghia on a 53 plate, after doing about 1000 miles i noticed that my front parking sensor beeper went very quiet, when i actually found it under the passenger seat it was full of water. The well under the seat was swimming in water, it has been into the dealer & after keeping it for a whole morning, they said the had found the leak in the B pillar and fixed it. I took it to the car wash but hey hey!! its got water in again. Anyone had the same trouble?

Its under warranty obviously but its still a pain going to the garage trying to get it sorted.

Haven't personally had the same problem, but I know a man who has! He took it to a ford garage to be checked out, problem found to be due to window washer pipe had become diconnected(washer bottle down N/S forward of passenger footwell in engine compartment). Are your washers working effectively or requires frequent refilling?

well the washers seem to be working ok, i have the headlight washer system hence a 7 litre capacity so i can't really tell if it goes down quick, the rear washer seems to be functioning ok as well, the water does smell stale though. At one point it was so bad i had to remove the metal plate under the seat, the one which the parking beeper & some module is attached to, to get a knife through the big grommet so the water could drain away. The grommet needs replacing & the dealer is quite happy that i put a hole into it but i'm not going to replace it untill the leak is fixed

This is a classic problem with the Galaxy (and Sharan/Alhambra).

Go back to your dealer and REJECT THE VEHICLE.

That will make them sort the problem out.

I have had a problem of water in the front foot well a while back. I have a mark1 gal. It always happend when it rained, the drain grommet in the wing got block on a regular basis. In the end I took it ouy and have had know problem since. Leaves and muck seem to block it up. then it backs up and comes in the pollen filter. With you Gal being so new I wonder if this is the ptoblem?

Thanks for quite a comprehesive list, i forgot to mention that the carpets don't get wet, so it may be leaking down one of the pillars As i currently live in Germany with HM Forces, it is Galaxy central, on my road alone there are 12 of them, all of them post 2000. Nobody else seems to have this problem. However the ford dealer seems to be quite helpful, so i'm sure it will be fixed but still a pain in the arse. Oh, no sun roof to worry about.
