johnford Posted September 19, 2006 Report Posted September 19, 2006 Hi I've just purchased the Aldi unit with blue tooth to replace the 2007R unit. I've looked at the back of the 2007R and there is a grey yellow and black connector. I've been trawling the net for info and this forum and still a bit confused regarding adaptors. Do I need this one? http://incarexpress.co.uk/view_product.php?partno=PC9402 Autoleads PC9402 Is it cheaper to not bypass the amplifier assuming I've got one? Thanks in advance for any tips - Oh and best place to get adapters? Cheers John Quote

El Dingo Posted September 26, 2006 Report Posted September 26, 2006 Autoleads adaptor for Ford to ISO is PC2-08-4. This is available at Halfords (but may be cheaper elsewhere!).AFAIK you will need an aerial adaptor, Autoleads PC5-91, which powers the 'active' antenna. VAG radios power the aerial via the aerial connector; most aftermarket radios don't have power to the aerial connector. Auto leads also make a fascia adaptor, FP-07-02, to blank off the lower half of the hole, allowing fitment of a DIN chassis. Quote
johnford Posted October 12, 2006 Author Report Posted October 12, 2006 Well it went in OK - Halfords was surprisingly cheapest place I found for the connector. Bluetooth works OKNot bad Aux in, MP3 & Bluetooth for Quote
