Noisey Engine

I hope that someone can advise me on this as i am really baffled. :lol:

 

I have a 2L Mondeo Zetec Mk iii 2001/02. When I first start it it runs nice and smooth, but after a couple of miles or so the engine mood changes to a rough ride feel. The engine sounds loader than it should.

 

I have serviced it, run jet cleaner through it, changed the anti-freeze s that it is ready for winter. The only thing i can think of is that there is a leak somewhere (though i cant find it) or the timing, tuning is out.

 

Does anyone have any ideas or advice for me? Any help would be appreciated.

if timing it would run rough from start, if just when warm, try testing coolant temp sensor

Hi Anadin,

 

Thank I will try that. Thought it might have a little to do with the temperature at one time as the rad seemed to be overheating at one time although it didnt indicate. And since I flushed the rad and renewed the antifreeze I ruled it out.

 

Will try that and let you know
