markos69 Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 Hi Guys, 99 Galaxy ghia x 1.9 tdi Bought the car earlier this year with 51.000 miles on the clock, Service schedule showed Major Service at 50,900 miles. This morning with 58,000 miles on, the service display is showing in02. Does in02 mean Major Service if so is it just that there service's are out of sync with computer? Ivor_E_Tower Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 Looks like someone forgot to reset the service interval calculator when the service was done. Display should show mileage to next service, nOT what type of service. You may find in another 1000 miles it changes to in01 - although you may have got the display reset by then! Quote
Guest mptrew Posted October 29, 2003 Report Posted October 29, 2003 I bought my 98 1.9TDi at 54,000 with 'a full service history' It came up with in02 yesterday and today is showing 'service miles 54' this mileage is counting up. Therfore I am sure that in02 is a type of service and I should have done mine 54, 55,56..... miles ago Quote
