oioisavaloy Posted February 23, 2003 Report Posted February 23, 2003 Has anyone had any experience with converting to GAS as a vehicle fuel? With the congestion charge seemly working within the London area, my view is that it won Quote
Guest paul young Posted February 23, 2003 Report Posted February 23, 2003 Hi from what I know you really dont lose a lot of performance. I have a friend who had this done to his espace and he said the only time he notices it is going uphill with a heavy load and even then its negligible. He has a donut tank in place of the spare wheel but when I did it for my other car (a landrover discovery) I got them fitted either side of the car underneath. two tanks of 50 litres and excellent unobstrusive positioning. So dont know about the galaxy fitting but engine wise they wont have any negative effects.Nice about the free charge too! paul Quote
Guest n19erc Posted February 27, 2003 Report Posted February 27, 2003 Hi, I've a 2001 model 2.8 V6 galaxy which I had converted to LPG about 8 months ago. I've probably done about 10,000 miles since installation without any problems, including 2000 miles around France a week after the kit was fitted. I have a web site www.nigelchristie.co.uk which details further info on converting a Galaxy to run on gas. Hope this helps. All I will say is that I wished I'd converted to gas when I first thought about it rather than toying with the idea for a year. Regards Nigel C. www.nigelchristie.co.uk Quote
