After standing for a couple of weeks, the battery was weak so I disconnected one lead and charged it. Reconnect the battery and the radio demanded the code (a 5000 with CD changer in the back in a 2001 Ghia). Fair enough, it's written in the 'Audio Guide' book so input as the book suggests. The radio now appears to function, the screen shows it tuning to various stations, starting to play CDs and everything you might expect. But no sound! The rotary dial shows the volume changing, but still silent. Is there some reset needed after putting the code in that I've missed? Or am I unfortunate in having blown something? Any ideas what? Thanks for any pointers.
