  1. Pendle cycle carriers do one. Thinking of getting one myself. Robert
  2. It could be dirt on them. I have noticed it a odd time on mine but seems to clear after a clean or a bit of rain.
  3. Have you tried resetting the trip. My Galaxy was showing about 40mpg. I reset the trip and on a long Journey I am getting nearly 60mpg at 60mph and 44mpg knocking about town. Mine is a 1.8 TDCI
  4. hi all. My galaxy was showing 41mpg this is the trip set when collected from dealer. I reset it today and on the motorway doing 60-70mph I was getting 54mpg reading dropping to 50mpg up hills.
  5. my 1.8 tdci galaxy 1 month old had probles the other night. it took five attempts even after waiting for glowplug light to go out. as soon as i put any revs on the engine died. before i report it i am waiting to see if it does it again.
  6. Read on a subaru website last night about a simular problem and it turned out to be a disconnected hose somewhere in the enging bay.
  7. Dont all cry at once. I have taken delivery of our new Galaxy 1.8 tdci. Ghia. Done 500 miles and fuel consumption just over 40mpg mixed motoring. Just a couple of niggles. The gaps around the panels on the top of the dashboard reflect on to the screen and when the lights are on at night the ilumination on the 3 light switches to the right of the steering column can be seen in the wing mirror otherwise very happy. I have had no rattles yet. Did on new on my touran (works car) and on the Zafira we have just returned to motability. It has come with the latest Sony single cd player not the old 6cd changer one shown in the booklet we had. Love the electric brake. Robert
  8. It could be a front brake sticking. The smell being drawn in the air intake.
  9. Hi all first posting. We have just ordered a 1.8 tdci galaxy ghia. Due christmas. Motability car. I have also been told by my parents that the airport taxi they have just used for there holiday return was a new galaxy. Just under a year old and allready 97000 miles on the clock. Do not know what engine it had They said it was more comfy then the merc people carrier they were taken in. I would think doing that sort of milage in a year the galaxy can not be all that bad. Robert.
