I have the DVD case and don't remember (could be my memory) an upgrade voucher but I believe I already have the latest DVD. Can you post a copy of the instructions on here as those were definitely not in the DVD case? Will do when I get a minute :wacko:

I sent this off about a month ago and received the 2008 DVD yesterday. I changed the DVD myself (Definitely not a dealer fit!!) as comes with very detailed instructions. I now have the 3D birds eye view, full UK postcode entry and radio text :wacko: :lol: !! The upgrade took about 15 minutes and it appears to be a full software upgrade of all the functions of the touch screen system, you will need the radio DVD pin code for the system to eject & insert the DVD.

Just calculated mine after a lot of short trips ......25.5mpg :D :unsure: :lol: , trip computer showed 28mpg

Hi Mark, we have had ours a week now and I am very impressd, the auto is very smooth (easily equal to bmw /mercedes). Fuel consumption is poor though averaging 28mpg this week with mainly town driving and some motorway. I honestly dont think the 10bhp is an issue as it has the same amount of torque and the auto box handles it well. I haven't 'booted' it yet though but its not that sort of car. All in all I am very impressed and it is a very relaxing car to drive. I'd recomend trying to buy through the internet broker drivethedeal to get the best discounts, however due to Ford I did have to wait 27 weeks ;) ps no steering noise .....yet. :wub:

Yes it is quite bright (as is the DVD nav screen) but is dimmable with the other lights of the dash...... however there is a delay on the dimming of a few seconds compared to the other lights. Once at the minimum the convers is still brighter that the speedo / rev counter lights. I think it is okay but I like the dash to be lighting up my face anyway ;)

Yep both very much as clear as the headlights, you can see the fog light and side light bulbs clearly

Steve, I got the car via Drive the deal and managed to get 25% off list & options, I'd be surprised if the stealer had any bunce left to swallow the removal of the ford discounts, but who knows ?? :wacko: When I ordered it I was told by the broker that if the discount was changed (up or down :huh: ) in the final quarter this would change my price. However the confirmation paperwork from the dealer stated the original discounted price with no such caveats and when I was verbally told of the price increase they (again verbally) reverted to the original price a week later. There was talk of me paying for the car in full before the 30th September to secure the price (like I'd do that :) ), however I kept saying to the dealer that I was prepared to do this to secure the price, and when the increase came through I was told that I could not pay for the car as I did not have a production date and hence no way of securing a VIN number against the payment ?? Just as a side, on previous cars that I have bought new they have all said that the price I would pay would the manufacturers list price on delivery, and in one instance the cars stated delivery time spanned an annual price increase, which I had to pay. :angry2:

Nick / Jed have you jumped in front of me (build 14th Dec) !! ?? ;) ;) , we are busting out of our current car as I had ordered the new one (in plenty of time) to coincide with the 5th member of the family arrival, who is now 7 weeks old !! Also my stealer also says that my original price will still be honoured :16:

.....Update...... Just been given a build date of 14th December and potential delivery of W/E 5th January, looks like I'm getting a christmas party car !, at least after the 24 odd week wait I get an 08 registered car :16:

Delivery update.......... Apparently the delay on my specific car is the inclusion of the convers display option which is not available for production until 18th November (no mention of engine shortages now :lol: ), nice to find out after a 13 week wait what the 'new' delay is !
