  1. Hi, The story continues  When winter came and temperature fell below 5C, all windows started misting up. When A/C is on - everything is OK. Yesterday I received my vag-com cable and found this fault: 01596 - Motor for Outside/Recirculated Air Flap (V154) 35-00 - - As I understand, windows are misting up because this motor is not functioning and air is always recirculated in the car. Is it dufficult to get to this motor to check it? I guess I will need to remove all the dash panel for that...
  2. Hi, I own Galaxy 2001 2.8 Ghia without auxilliary aircon. My aircon unit was flashing from the time I bought my Galaxy. Local dealer said there was a leak somewhere. So I went to aircon specialists and they repaired it . Now I have a cool air in a car, but aircon unit is still flashing. So I went to a dealer again. They say they haven't found any fault codes! I said - "OK, but why then aircon unit is flashing? As I know it indicates fault in aircon sistem." And they said - "There was some modifications of that unit. In fact when you start engine, aircon system is doing self-test; there is no pressure in system when starting the unit - that's why it flashes". I had nothing to say because I don't know if there are really some modifications of aircon unit. I feel they are saying nonsence. But I haven't found any info about that in TIS or ELSA. So I have some questions: 1. Is there such a modification of aircon unit as I was told? 2. Is it possible that unit is flashing and there are no fault codes?
  3. TIS and Microcat state, that for Galaxy 2001 V6 I need 7xR16 PCD 5x112 ET59 alloy wheels. Elsa states the same for Sharan. That's ok, but it is very difficult to find alloys with such ET, except used ones or new from dealer (but I don't want them :16:). I saw here on the forum, that people use alloys with ET42-45, alloy wheels sellers say that ET42-45 is ok too. Ok, alloys with a ET42-45 may fit, but as I know, it unrecommended to use wheels with ET so much different from recommended by manufacture (max allowed difference is about 6mm only!), because that puts much bigger pressure on a suspension (resulting in earlier suspension parts replacement than it would be with wheels with recommended ET). So the question is - how much do you drive with non-standart ET wheels and how often do you need to repair your suspension parts?
  4. Hi, my name is Victor. I own Galaxy 2001 Ghia V6. I'm happy I found this board :16:
