Hi I´m posting my question again. My good neighbour has a FORD WGR Galaxy 1999, motorcode Y5B. The air con fan and heat can´t be adjusted at all. It doesn´t matter what you try to set on the panel. In fact, the fan (and heat) runs at full speed even if the air con is turned off. So, any clever ideas? Schematic someone? Thanks, Ola

Hi all, The AirCon Fan runs on full speed and heat. It´s not responding to any settings on the AirCon. Not even after shutting off the AirCon, the fan still runs on full speed and heat. Any suggestions? Thanks, Ola

Replacement Of Rear Brake Pads

Yes, thanks. I have always used my old tool that push and twist but this time the piston was stuck so I went into the forum to see what I did wrong. The only thing that I -
Hi all I made a search regarding the replacement of rear brake pads and it confused me. I have following questions: 1) In some threads the piston should be twisted back and in some just pushed back. Could someone clear this out. 2) Should the bleeding nipple be open? 3) Should the flexible brake pipe be shut? 4) What is the workflow? Thanks Ola

Hi, I had the same problem a couple of years ago. The motor is self adjusted, so if all joints are assembled correctly, continue according to this schedule: 1) deattach wipers 2) deattach the short linkage arm from the wiper motor shaft 3) run the wiper motor a whole wiper sequence 4) attach the short linkage arm, should point due left, to the wiper motor shaft 5) run the motor a whole wiper sequence and look at the wiper nuts that everything is going as it should 6) attach wipers 7) enjoy another rainy day :D I hope this will help you! Regards, /Ola

Remote Central Locking From Key Fob
ola replied to seanwhu's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
Hi Look at post 69 in FAQ. There you can find LED codes. This might help diagnosing the problem or narrow it down at least. My son accidentally sat on the remote key so it opened and the small code device fell out. But he didn -

My experience is that when the problem first occur, deal with it, immediately. I waited too long, and guess what happend? Yes both linkage and motor went... I had to strip the car to get access to the linkage, removed it and started to disassemble, clean and grease everything up again (see other threads, don

Hi I would have tried, after disconnected the battery, to use a small pair of pliers (a small, narrow one) to gently push the joint into place from behind. The joint may also need to be clamped together gently so it get a grip of the relays connectors.

For several reasons there is more convenient to have an AC generator compared to a DC generator. All electronics in the car need DC so the output from the generator needs to be converted to DC. Therefore, in a three phase generator (as in an alternator in a car...), six diodes formes a rectifying bridge.

And Bleeno, On friday I will tell you how all went and you can have a proper laugh then over a pint of beer or I will have that laugh...

To mumof4: The idea of bringing out the oscilloscope was to reveal if any diode in the rectifying bridge was failing. If you can

Good to have you as consultant, Bleeno, In a devlish moment I thought it would be exremely cunning to use an oscilloscope because in my world I would be able to see not only the small pulses on the DC but also if a diode was failing but if you claim that there is a clean DC...
