Hey people, i'm having problems with the parking sensors on my 02 115 TDi Galaxy Zetec. When put into reverse or the button on the dash is pushed to turn on the parking sensors the system just emits a steady tone. some times it will stop and beap normally but not for long (couple of seconds if that). I've checked all the sensors and they all tick when I stick my head next to them so I think they are all working. I also gave them all a wipe over just to make sure it wasn't dirt on the sensors etc. Whilst I was doing this I found that the passenger side sensor on the front (above the fog light) was very loose, to the point that it disappeared into the bumper. D'oh I've stuck my hand up behind the bumper and found the sensor hanging down and it would appear that the plastic clips that hold it in have snapped on the sensor itself. I can't for the life of me unplug the sensor, can any body tell me how to get it undone? I've also checked the control unit and it's not damp etc so I'm hoping that is ok. I suppose the wiring may also be an issue but I don't fancy taking the car apart to check all the wiring just yet. I'm gonna be busy it seems as the booster heater needs looking at too (was no jet aircraft sound last winter and the engine was taking ages to warm up, hopefully just the glow plug).
