Hi Emma, I have got the same problem and the Alarm keeps going off - did you manage to fix this problem and what was it???

The Mk III Galaxy has the 5 Star ENCAP safety award, not sure that the Seat or VW have this, I believe only the Espace, C8 and Peugot had this before.

I have just replaced mine it was a bit of a job but all the help you need is on this site. If like me your linkage is locked solid and you do not get it free (I snapped the linkage trying to free it), you will need to replace the linkage. Ford quoted me

I have found that Volkswagen have issued a recal for the 'wiper problem' on the Sharan. I have called Ford but they said that they do not know of a similar plan for the Galaxy. Does anyone else know anything about this
