  1. thats good going but I know these engines of old and I wouldn't want to go much past 150K with the same chain guides
  2. probably a dealer only part - won't be dear though
  3. thats a bit optimistic
  4. New brake light switch fitted (
  5. the engine speed sensor is also known as the crankshaft position sensor - on your engine it's down the back near the oil filter, held in with an 8mm bolt and a square multiplug attached - about
  6. exactly - you'll never get anywhere near the oil in the sump through that hole - it's the breather as said just take the opportunity to change the oil and filter good luck
  7. it will need a new brake light switch - this also throws a code to the ECU hence the glow plug light you can confirm by an ECU scan but I come across this a lot - be careful to fit the switch using the correct procedure or you'll break the insides of it leaving the brake lights on all the time good luck
  8. old topic I know but my two litre 8 valves gone bang and I already have a zetec two litre I can use so I was just wondering how you got on with this conversion - any tips or pictures I can look at if I do it I'l post some step by step pictures as well thanks in advance
  9. exactly right - I free off quite a few of these during the course of the year
