  1. cheers for your coments, will be servicing the engine this weekend, if halfrauds have the bits, i have the haynes, but that doesn't cover the 2.8 v6 or 1.9td. many thanks
  2. Bought some film off ebay, 6 meters for 13 quid all in, thought ex mechinic, fitted loads of vehicle lettering over the years, how hard can it be  My advice to anyone doing this is don't do it, leave to the pro's, after 3 hours last night of heating scrapping, spraying and swearing, my job was finished, perfectly clear windows with a pile of limo black tint screwed up on the floor :16: , i just smiled to myself and glad i only wasted 13 quid. happy days from there i have been and googled tinter's in the yeovil taunton area, if anyone can recommend one that would be great.
  3. Does any one know where i can get my hands on a manual which covers engine maintenance on the 2.8 V6 engine?? Just bought my first galaxy, ;) 1998 Ford Galaxy 2.8 V6 Auto Ghia x
  4. well after buying a haynes, a cd of ebay it came down to fuse 55, this is on a colour coded block on mine with in the CCB, although when i checked the fuse exposed pins there was power both side, but on inspection the fuse had blown, new fuse all working again ;)
  5. thanks gregers, the wireing in the doors is ok, and dry as a bone under the seat, at first it was only the tailgate not opening, i took out the relay next to the alarm & locking module, just to see if good contact, when i replaced it i'm sure i heard a 'snick' as in a fuse blowing, but can not find a fuse blown in the normal fuse box r/h of driver. When this happened i lost alarm inc door led, lost central locking, lost remote central locking and interial courtsy lights that come on on door opening, i have just replied to a nother post that relates to the same problem as mine but does not give fuse location, looks like the guy was email seperatly not on the forum. many thanks to everyone in advance
  6. does anyone know where this 10amp fuse is located that fredt has informed stuntmonkey about, i have the same problem and my misses is nagging me to bits
  7. Nothing works, remote or key locking, also alarm led not coming on at all and also interial lights on door opening. Vehicle does start and run fine
  8. Can anyone tell me which fuse controls the above? The vehicle is a Galaxy 2.8 v6 Auto 1998
  9. forgot to mension that the second problem only happened when i replaced the relay under the passenger seat cheers
  10. Vehicle - Ford Galaxy Ghia x 1998 2.8 v6 Problem - 1st Rear door only opened with key 2nd lost Central locking, Alarm and interia lights only work if put to perminant on, will not work on doors opening What i've done - checked rear door solenoid worked with power probe, it did, after reading other topics, i took out the relay under the pasenger seat next to the alarm control unit to make sure clean and good contacts, all is clean and dry with no corossion, when i replaced the relay i thought i heard a snick down by the fuse box! when this happened i lost remote / central locking and alarm. have to lock each door induvidually. I checked the fuses in the fuse box located lower right drivers side numbered 1 - 22, all fuses are fine, checked power both sides of all fuses all ok! Any ideas?? Is there a fuse or relay i'm missing I checked the interia lights, i have perminant power up there, so i'm presuming there's a relay that throws it to earth when the door is opened. This is my first Galaxy and i love it, no i mean it i love it, of to France end of August and will be a pleasure driving it. many thanks in advance to anyone out there :D
