  1. I had this problem on a 2.3 and it turned out to be the lambda sensor..Lacking power .. cuts in out every so often like its run out of fuel..i had tried everything from the maf to sensors..and a
  2. Another update fitted a new lambda sensor today drove it up a junction on the m4 and back and ....no probs !!!(crossed fingers) no hesitation or holding back,or the seaching on idle :D
  3. Ok bit of update i have cleaned out the ideal control and it seemed fine..But it does feel like the car is hanging back .. then it clears then feels like its hanging back again i havent changed the fuel filter yet but does anybody else hve any more idea's? Thanks
  4. Thanks for the link nik i shall look into it later.It is also coupled with engine cut out at around 2000 rpm and just a little lack of power.chnged the maf and no difference.so just trying to eliminate things

  8. You can do it your self. Park the car on a down hill slope and undo the fuel filter The petrol will run out.. Make sure you put something to collect it..Wait for it to stop dripping when its done fill back up with diesel and away you go..It will take a fair bit of cranking and make sure you keep topping the tank up for a while but all should be good
  9. Hi, No it started playing connect 4 with the dash board lights about 2 days after i brought it.. The sqeek has started about 3 days ago its only done 74,000 miles..but never mind these things happen..but it was a private sale so no come backs next month its due to do a 600 mile round trip so have to get it fixed..How easy is it to change the pully?   10. Hi, check the switch on the top of the brake peddle...from what i remember you have to take off the bottom cover but you might be able to see it if you can get down under the steering column yet again if i remember the switch is on the front side of the peddle and it just twists out Gary

I recently gpt a 1998 galaxy ghia x 2.3 auto.but seems to have a bit of a problem.it seems there is a bit of a dead spot in the accelerator pedel.the engine cuts out at certain point but if you press your foot all the way down or back off a bit the engine cuts back it. also there was a terrible squeel coming from the engine bay so i assumed it was the aux belt so i changed this at the weekend which seemed to solve it all for 10 mins.any ideas? airbag light is on permantly? abs light is on? changed the battery also in my key fob to reprogramme it but the fob just flashs and that key wont start the car as well.the door light stays static. any ideas on these probs would be great gazza
