  1. I have found a sensor in the engine bay, that simply does not look asthough it is fitted in the correct place. It looks like the garage who last did work on the car( radiator replacement), took it off of somewhere, then did not put it back in the correct place. I am trying to identify the sensors function and where it should be fitted. The car is a Ford Galaxy 1998 2.3 Petrol. I have a photo of the sensor, if you have the same model Galaxy, then perhpas you can help me find where it should be sited. The sensor is electrically connected, to two cables that coem from the same loom as the cables that run to the underbonnet Cooling fan relay. Is it the cooling fan relay sensor ? Or possibly an ambient temperature sensor ( the car has no display of ambient temp). Help Please !
  2. My experience of Relay 30 I have a 1998 ( i think mk2 therefore) 2.3 petrol Last november i had intermittent starting problems. Much the same as everyone else describes.... car would start fine for ages, then refuse to start... wait a few moments and it would start and drive happy as larry. Finally it refused to start. got it towed to the local Fraud dealer who diagnosed the wonderful relay 30 as the problem. They replaced the relay ( in exchange for
