  1. I had similar problems with three doors on my last 1997 Galaxy, the fault was the loom between the door pillar and the door, cables there are subject to continuous bending and stressing. I found several cables to have snapped at the connector inside the protective sheathing, I managed to solder them back together with no further problems. Quite tricky and fiddly though.
  2. You just locate the keyway push gently and turn the collar, the collar pulls it in to locate and make connections.
  3. Tricky but I would try levering the spare down to pull the wire off its drum, alternatively a bit more brutal but you could break the butterfly that goes through the wheel centre, then youd have room to put it right.
  4. Thanks for the comments.... 130 is plenty powerful enough for everyday but Im towing 1.5 ton of boat as well as 6 bodies (family not stiffs) across the continent in a couple of weeks and a bit more would be useful.
  5. I am considering fitting a power tuning kit to my 130ps Galaxy TDDI, does anyone have any first hand experience of the effect benefits or otherwise?
  6. Looks like the leftovers of my Witter detachable tow bar. If you have reverse park sensors then removable is best. If not its cheaper to replace the whole lot with a fixed bar.
  7. Hi I have a 2004 tdi Ghia. It has only offside opening quarter light. The switch is just to the right of the gear lever. A way of testing to see if it should open is to unlock the car by turning and holding the key, this should also open all windows, that do open!
