Hi Can anyone tell me the 'effects' of having the cruise control not enabled, other than it does not work! I have a 51 2.3l auto Galaxy which came with several problems and although under warranty, I have sorted smaller problems out with help from your Forum but am left with no cruise control. 3 attempts have been made to sort it without any progress made (including a Fraud garage) and are blaming a wiring fault. I have had a check of the electrics and there is no 12v to the column switch, but feeding 12v onto this wire does not switch on the CC. The wiring has been checked as far as possible without taking the dash apart and that is OK. Does this mean the auto control box and the CC have faults or is it disabled? I am unable to access the 01 engine module via VAG-com cos its a Ford engine so can not check if the CC is enabled. Can anyone offer any help. John
