  1. the warning light tells u have low pads but does not tell u whether its front or back,either the rear pads r low or check that u have connected the sensor correctly
  2. thanks cyborg ive had problems with the brake pedal swith in the past and ive already replaced this and i know this is a real pain because it causes so many problems even though the light work cheers and thanks dave

  4. car still having same problems even after replacing the crankcase sensor. as previously stated ive replaced fuel pump(in tank) relay, both camshaft and crankcase sensor all to no avail. the car fires and starts when the camshaft sensor is dissconnected but wont start when reconnected. it takes quite a few cranks then the car turns over a starts. during my journey the car may run fine for a period of time other times it will cut out constantly and be extremely diffucult to start again. this is driving me mad as ive replaced everything i think could be the problem. i would appreciate any help or guidance Thanks Dave
  5. update replaced the camshaft sensor and connected it car still does not run dissconnect it and the car runs fine but takes a few cranks to start,strange and im a bit lost now fuel pump replaced(in tank) relay replaced ,camshaft replaced timing checked. the car running great as stated but as stated is a bit sluggish to start battery is fine by the way,but i cant ubderstand why the car runs with the sensor dissconnected and what i need to replace or check next (maybe crankcase sensor)?????????????
  6. doesnt seem that bad but get them to check 2 important things oil feed pipe(is it cloggeged) does it need replacing and the egr valve will this be cleaned at same tine or can the turbo be reconned
  7. whilst my car is earlier 2003 ghia 1.9tdi i was always told on the ghia models with the extras you neend a 120 amp model and not the 90amp one cheers dave
  8. thanks to all with thier help ive got car running now but dont really understand how. the fuel pump in tank has been replaced and the dreaded relay but the car still wouldnt turn over, disoconected the camshaft sensor and the car turns over and fires pefectly with no problems but is a little sluggish to start. ive ordered a new sensor and it will arrive monday but why will the car work with this dissconnected then fail when reconnected whilst its important in a petrol engine im not sure the purpose in a diesel if when disconnected the car starts

  10. hi cyborg i did a previous post but recieved no replies 03 galaxy 1.9tdi ghia auy engine a few weeks ago the fuel guage stop working reading empty but now its intermitent working sometimes(but unsure if this is related to my problem) car takes a while to turn over(sounds like a new fuel filter has been fitted and the diesel is being purged through) ive fitted a new diesel filter and checked the fuel vacum and all seem fine. the car will idle with no problems but cuts out whilst driving after a short period and then to start car again you go through the same process i wasd thinking either fuelpump/sender in tank, or camshaft sensor failing ( getting timing checked 2mrw) cheers and thanks dave

  13. 03 galaxy1.9tdi ghia 115 bhp auy engine code not sure if its related but car fuel guage starting acting up a few weeks ago sometimes readind empty and occasionally working(i always run on a full tank filling up daily taxi driver) tryed to use yesterday but car was difficult to start(like when you replace filter and need to purge the diesel through) thought nothing of it and left on tickover for 10 mins to defrost the car. on trying to start the journey car kept on cutting out and on restarting was difficuklt to start as before ive checked and replaced the diesel filter and seals and these were fine and i hadn,t put petrol in by mistake. the diesel vacum pump seems fine and free of leaks. any help or ideas appreciated thinking relay orimmomblisher issue but not sure,thanks inanticipation of help
  14. common problem on galaxy assuming your shocks r not gone replace top strut mounts and possibly bearings and drop links not that expensive parts abot fifty pouds all in check wishbone bush and ball joints when your thier
