  1. Hi, I haven't yet got a Galaxy Owners Manual so here goes... I parked my Galaxy outside a shop the other night, left the lights on, and locked the car whilst in the shop. While I was in the shop, I could see my car and noticed that the lights (I could only see the rear lights) flickered once, exactly every 60 seconds, very very quickly. Without the manual, I can't find out if this is a feature or a fault. Any ideas ? Cheers
  2. exactly my thoughts! you should definitely get someting back one way or another. No joy with dealer. Have now waited a further 7 days for MKIII owners manual, and had heard nothing today, so I rang (twice) and was eventually told that it was still on order. As they have other NEW Galaxy's on site, I can't understand why they can't get one from one of those. I have had to post another question here, as without this manual, I can't explain what is happening. - (See "lights flicker every 60 seconds when parked and locked")
  3. Wazza After visiting the dealer, I was told that the information in the Brochure was now false. The idea was for them to open originally, but in order for the car to keep it's Thatcham Category 1 status for security, Ford had to do away with the possibility of opening rear quarter vents. Shame that.... On the owners manual, I was given a new pack, only to get back home to find that they had given me a manual for a MKII. So..... It's another visit to Evans Halshaw AGAIN on Monday. Thanks for all you help guys Much appreciated.
  4. Hi Wazza It's the latest brochure I have, which states that opening vents are Standard but Electronically operated ones are optional, which to me means that the windows are meant to open one way or another. There is a significant bulged cowling across the top of the glass, which can surely only be the opening mechanism, and as I mentioned earlier, if I push on the glass from inside the car, it clearly moves and is not a "fixed" pane. I'm off to the dealer right now to see if they have my missing manual. I'll see if they can help. Cheers
  5. Thanks Andy Will do ! (Mine was registered in late 2006)
  6. Hi Ivor, I have the Ford Galaxy brochure which states that opening rear quarter windows are standard on the Ghia with optional electronic function. If i push gently on the window from inside the car, you can tell they are not fixed. Thanks anyway.
  7. Hi Phil, There is nothing there. Just the climate control switches. They must be electric as there are no handles on them at all. There is the small cowling covering the plug for the heated glass element, and a larger moulded cowling across the top which I assume is covering the opening mechanism. ANy other ideas ?
  8. Hi Got the new Gal today. It's a 2.0 tdci Ghia I've had a look at the rear quarter windows and there are no handles so I assume they are electric. Question is, how do they operate ? Where's the switch ?? Can't look in the onwers guide as Ford have had to order one due to car not being supplied with one ! Cheers in advance Phibes

  12. Hi My new Gal has a Ford 6006CD and I was wondering if it supported CD text. Also notice in my brother's Focus, his stereo shows the name of artist/track name songs played during radio broadcasts. Does the 6006CD support this feature also ? Thanks in advance Dr Phibes
  13. Hi all, Recently joined this forum. Seems a great place for valuable info ! I get my new Gal tomorrow - hopefully ! ;) I've gone for a 2.0 tdci Ghia with leather etc in Panther black. Looks fantastic - Can't wait ! Dr Phibes
