  1. Hi Bigjeeze, Thanks for the advice. I am already braving myself for the cost and hope this cures it. Regards SteveF
  2. Hi, So in a nutshell has anyone actually had their's fixed. I have an '03 1.9tdi (130) with 82k miles. I have exactly the same problem as most including difficulty in getting into 1st / Reverse (have to switch the engine off sometimes to change), the pedal returning late and tapping you on the foot and also creeping when pedal fully depressed. In December I took the vehicle to the main dealer and they bled the system. When I picked it up - Great! it worked, biting point seemed higher and easy to get into gear. Then, gradually over the next day, back to the problem. After Christmas, took car back to the dealer who said master cylinder needed replacing - Great! it worked again. Then, over the next couple of days, back to the problem. Week later, have taken it back yet again and this time they suspect the slave cylinder and suggested clutch replacement as well. From this forum it seems quite common yet the solution seems so difficult for them to find. I am just worried that I will keep paying out for different things (that may or may not need replacing) just to get to the bottom of it. I have 2 weeks before I get it back into the garage for the clutch replacement so any advice would be greatly appreciated. Regards Steve
  3. Hi, I've got exactly the same problem with my cd changer - a Sony CDX-T69. I have taken the cover off then carefully removed the main unit from its casing by releasing the four pins from the suspension rubbers (I hope this was the right thing to do), and then pulling a lever at the far end of the unit. This ejected the cartridge but there must be something else wrong with it (or other mechanism jammed) as when I power it up and plug the cartridge back in it does exactly the same thing again. Any more ideas. Steve
  4. Good Idea!! I was thinking about one for my MP3 player so it would do the two jobs in one. Steve
  5. Thanks for your reply. A bit more than I thought I'd have to pay. I was expecting something like a cable from Maplins. Maybe a Godsend as I'd probably have to listen to Tweenies DVDs. Thanks again! Steve
  6. Hi, Bought my 2003 1.9 Tdi Ghia Galaxy yesterday and while checking whether all the toys worked, I was wondering whether the Sat Nav/Radio can receive the audio from the DVD player as standard or are modifications needed. I have tried changing the Sat Nav/Radio to Aux but to no luck Have searched the forums and some messages are going in a bit deeper than I need to get at the moment. Thanks SteveF
  7. Hi Everybody, I'm Steve and yesterday became the proud owner of a 2003 1.9 Tdi Ghia. At the moment it is fantastic and so much different that my old Mondeo. So much space for the kids. Have been a member for a few months (just viewing posts) anticipating purchasing the right car. No doubt I will have a few questions to ask. Steve
