May be too late for you, but for anyone who has a similar problem, when the compressor sezied on mine (and that means the clutch on it doesn't work either which soon melts and breaks the fan belt) I replaced the fan belt with one for a non-AC galaxy - works until you can get a re-conditioned compressor.
