  1. According to Ford it's Medium Cabernet Red!!!!
  2. Hi, can any one tell me which colour red my Galaxy is? or where I can find out what colour it is. I went into Halfords for some touch-up paint today and there was 5 different dark reds.
  3. There seems to be a Terminology difference. I would of called the Throttle position sensor - the sensor that is on the side of the throttle body. Where as you are saying it's the accelerator pedal position sensor. If it is the pedal sensor, then it looks like I might need a complete new pedal (as 98on the sensor is not availible on its own).
  4. While I was driving on the motorway a couple of weeks ago the engine warning light came on and had complete loss of throttle. I managed to coast to the hardshoulder - switched the engine off for a couple of seconds and back on again. Every thing was ok and it hasn't happened again since. When I got home I ordered a fault code reader (this one) which came today. The scanner came up with code 00777 (throttle position sensor). My Haynes manual doesn't list a throttle position sensor for the diesel!!!! Does anyone have any ideas - We're off to Cornwall at the weekend....
  5. My clutch pedal has always seemed harder than it should be. it might be just me but it seems to be getting worse. Does it need a new clutch?
  6. I fitted these on Friday and it took most of the afternoon. They are great!!! - the kids love them as they can both watch different films or the same film. We went away for the weekend and we never heard a thing from them. The fitting is fairly straight forward. I originally wired them to the rear of the radio but I think it might be better to wire them to somewhere else. Very brief fitting guide - 1. Remove the original headrest. 2. undo the bottom of the seatback cover and feed the cable through from the top of the seat back cover to the bottom. Then the new headrest can go on. 3. feed the cable underneath the base and though the hole in the centre mounting where the seat swivels (allowing the seat to still swivel without trapping the cable.) 4. pull off the bottom part of the door apature seal. remove the trim from between the door apature and carpet. 5. Run a length of twin core cable from the seatbase following existing wiring looms around to your choice of power supply 6. disconnect your battery. 7. solder the headrest cables to the twincore cable. and then connect the twin core to the powersupply. 8. Reconnect your battery and test they work before replacing trims ex....... some of these headrests come with covers - mine didn't. I have a ghia and the windows are already dark ish green but you can see thro them. I think I'll get the darkened so you can't.
  7. Hi, I have just bought a pair of headrest dvd/monitors - like these on ebay Has anyone fitted these before? It say's in the instructions all I need to do is run a pos and neg cable to them - can anyone suggest the best place to take the power from?
  8. Hi, I've posted two screenshots - one shows the tomtom retrieving data and the other shows that it has finished with a green circle. Hope this helps.
  9. Hi I have bought two dvd player / monitor headrests like the ones in the link below - I want to feed the power wire down inside the seat cover and connect them so they will turn off when the ign key is turned off. Where should I connect them too? DVD player / monitor headrest
  10. When I press the pedal down it clicks near the bottom and when I release the pedal it clicks near the top. It sounds like it coming from the pedal - it sounds like something plastic it catching - I have had a look and it doesn't have a switch - and I can't see anything obvious.
  11. I changed the thermostat today and it works great the temp gauge goes to between 'N' and 'O' and stays there even sat in traffic it doesn't get any higher and the heater gets red hot - so problem solved.
  12. sorry about the caps lock - yes there is deffinatly water in the header tank cos it was half way between the min and max - i even stuck my finger in there to make sure. could the cooling system need bleeding? is the thermostat easy to change? where abouts is it?
  13. IT WAS OK TILL YESTERDAY - WHEN WE WENT ON A LONG RUN AND AFTER DRIVING FOR ABOUT 20 MINUTES I REALISED THE NEEDLE WAS STILL ON COLD I TURNED THE HEATER TO HOT AND THE FAN TO FULL BUT THE AIR WAS ONLY JUST WARM. I TRIED THIS TODAY - I RAN THE ENGINE FOR ABOUT 20 MINS AND THE HIGHEST THE NEEDLE GOT WAS BETWEEN THE 'N' AND 'O' OF NORM ON THE TEMP GAUGE AND THE FAN CAME ON. THE HEATER WAS HOT BUT WHEN I WENT FOR A DRIVE THE GAUGE WENT BACK TO COLD AND SO DID THE HEATER.
  14. I'VE GOT P REG 2.O PETROL (DOHC) EVERY TIME I PRESS OR RELEASE THE CLUTCH PEDAL IT CLICKS ABOUT HALF WAY THROUGH IT TRAVEL. YOU CAN ALSO FEEL IT WHEN IT CLICKS.
  15. I'VE GOT A P REG 2.0 DOHC GALAXY AND WHEN I'M DRIVING THROUGH TOWN THE TEMP GAUGE NEEDLE DOESN'T GO ABOVE 1/4 AND OUT OF TOWN IT BARELY MOVES OFF COLD - IS THIS LIKEY TO BE A THEMOSTAT PROBLEM?
