Repair/reset Of Black Box Control Unit

My CCu or ECU? is not in the passenger footwell. Any ideas where I should look?? I have been getting water in footwell and intermittent starting. Dealer cannot find a fault, but again the car is in the yard outside and will not start !!!! Thanks
