  1. Update - Took the car into Ford, who on Tuesday stated that it was a total coincidence that this happened so soon after they had "fixed" the car. Well just had a call to say that when they regassed my car last time that their A/C gassing machine was faulty and hadn't correctly charged the car hence the random issues i've been having. (The also didn't do up all the fastenings when they returned the car from that trip - the next morning i noticed that the wheelarch liners were hanging off) Net result - no charge for this visit! Wahay for the compentence of the the Ford main dealer network. Note to oneself - next time i'll take it to backstreet Bob.
  2. Took the car back today. Diagnosed as a fan relay failure but as the Ford system is down they can't tell me if they can replace just the relay or if its the whole control unit !?!?! As the system is down they also don't know how much it will cost or when they can even get the parts to do it. They stated that this failure is nothing to do with the climate control pipe they changed last week, which required most of the front of the car to be removed - i'm not so sure and to top it off the climate control panel is flashing again. Does anyone know where the said relay lives?? Incompetent bunch of 'computer says no' lets try another yet expensive part monkeys! I have know made my mind up never to buy another Ford as their diagnosis of anything sucks!
  3. Got in it this morning and the panel has stop flashing - weird weird weird. (The fan still runs at full chat tho') Will get Ford to plug it in for free, if thats possible, and tell me whats wrong this time and then i'll take to a proper garage.
  4. Just got my MkII 115 TDi back from the Fraud main stealer after two consecutive A/C failures. The first was supposedly the presure switch failing (
  5. Na, i did check the pulley and it seemed ok. But it's not the dealer i'm hacked off with - it's the miserable warranty company and their slimey way of wriggling out of paying for something that i would have thought was covered.
  6. I sent the car in under instruction from the warranty company to have it checked out. The next thing is the garage phone up saying that the work is done but the warranty won't cover it and if i want they will take the parts off again - it did cross my mind to be bloody minded, but it did need doing. What i want to know is do you think it that it should have been replaced under the warranty is it as seems that these things are probably only fit for toilet paper?
  7. Hi, i have a 03 115TD Ghia Galaxy which i am very happy with. When i purchased it from the independat dealer it came with a 3 month warranty with them and i purchased a further 12 month warranty through Car Care Plan so i though that i should be pretty well covered in case of any of the expensive wobblers that seem to pop up on here. All goes well until this week when the car develops the noisy aux belt issues - no problem - the warranty will deal with that. WRONG! I looked through the booklet and the aux belt tensioner is neither listed or excluded, although the cam belt tensioner is covered. Looking through the Ford service schedule i cannot see that it states replacement of this part at any set stage. Has anyone managed to get this done under one of these warrantees?
