  1. Yup...North Nottinghamshire....mine fires up about 11 deg Ian
  2. The water was way over the sill...proved that the door seal works anyway. Started up this morning...lo and behold...the aux heater works...so thanks to all for their replies. Ian
  3. Thanks for the replies... The aux heater was operational this morning (it must have been cold!). When I got to work after going through the floods and shutting the engine off, I heard a gurgling sound - could have been the turbo/fan that runs on after a shutdown swishing about in the water inside the heater. I did start the engine again and got a puff of white smoke coming from the aux heater then nothing. This is why I thought I might have flooded it. If the heater tried once to kick up and failed will this disable it until a reset is done? Ian
  4. Hi All, Can anyone help? I went through a deep flood today and I think my aux heater filled up with water. My question is, will this drain out naturally or will I have to dismantle and drain it manually? Thanks in advance... Ian
  5. Crispy, I will be installing rear parking sensors to my 2001 Bamma during the next week. Can I ask if you positioned your sensors in the lower part of the rear bumper as in the standard manufacturers installation (the black plastic bit) or in the coloured bumber which will take the sensors a bit higher?. Do you get any false indications from your towing gear? Thanks Ian
  6. Is there any way of checking if the aux heater works other than waiting until ambient temp drops below 10deg and engine starts from cold? The garage that I purchased my Bammy from said they replaced the heater with a s/h unit (see previous post) How did they check that the heater worked if the temp was above 10deg? I have just been out to the vehicle tonight, ambient temp feels below 10 (good deal of condensation from breath) started engine and did a short journey - no sound from aux heater and still cold to the touch when I checked it. Am I being sold a load of bull by the garage just to get rid of me? I have been unable to browse the faq or do a search yet, presumably because I'm a newbie and have not got the required number of posts yet! Any advice would be well appreciated. Thanks Ian
  7. Hi All Got my Bamma back this evening, I felt stupid last night at the checkout paying for fuel for the loaner (
  8. Thank you all for the welcome. Driving around in a Honda Civic at the moment - my Bamma is on a hoist getting the aux heater fixed, surprise, surprise. Ian
  9. Hi All, So I purchased my first 51 Alhambra this week, was going to buy a Zaffy but the maximum tow weight according to the specs was 1050 kg - neither use to man nor beast!. I tow a tin tent, which I suppose makes me an old F**t; well if the cap fits wear it. Anyway, hello to all members out there, I have a million questions, most of which have been answered already by browsing the forum. Hope to post more when I've had a bit more driving experience with the vehicle. Will update my controls asap Catch you all later.
