Thanks for that Bleeno, I'll not pretend to understand all that but except for the word 'pseudo' it all sounds feasible. I added it all up wrong anyway; :) I am miles out. I did a 1,2,3,4,5,6,7... instead of 1,2,4,8,16,32,64,... ttfn Tram

I am both intrigued and lost. (this took me ages) the first set in binary adds up to 130. A Galaxy HP perhaps? The second set adds up to 169? and it has an extra zero on the front doing nothing? What does it all mean?

The last time we returned from a tour, the fridge had defrosted and when I re-connected the car found that the red light on the fridge was flashing and a relay was clicking in time with it in the caravan consumer unit. The

Hi and Happy New Year to you all. My rear/aux heater works fine but it is a waste of time as we do lots of short runs in winter. I doesn't run long enough to make any difference to the car temperature and it smells of diesel fumes outside the car when we stop as it runs on for a minute. It must be a waste of fuel, so if I pull the Number 12 fuse will it simply stop working and not do any harm to it long term?

I had this problem last year when i bought my Tom Tom. I made a wood mount to sit on the dash to the left so it only blocks the rev counter. I will attempt to post some pictures or it. There are four felt pads and one big blob of Whitetak. I works fine for us, perfik.

I'm sure i read somewhere that continental vehicles dip down but not to the left or right. If true, that would explain why they don't need converters.

Exterior Bulb Failure Indicator
Tram replied to hamsters's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
And thanks from me too. I have had this "problem" since i bought the car and have never managed to find out what the fault was. I must have checked the bulbs a dozen times in the first month. Incidentally, my wife flung her arm up and hit the roof a short while ago and a storage box above the rear-view-mirror popped open. It's not a lot of use but nice to know these things exist. ttfn Tram -
Buzzing Noise From Windscreen Trim At High Speed
Tram replied to a topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
Yep, Had a similar problem myself after a service. It sounded like a budgie at 45mph and a flock of budgies at 55mph. I took it back and they fixed it by securing the trim tighter to the screen. -
Yeh, good one Cathy, though a bit on the polite side. In the dictionary there is a word for some one who drinks very fast; it's 'tosspot'. I wonder if 'tosser' is the collective noun for them? Any more suggestions folks?

Hi all, We just got back from the Yorkshire Dales. A great holiday but then with that weather it couldn't be anything else. Back to subject. The site was a good one and the pitch area was big but the road was very narrow and the pitch opposite was occupied. Took me four shunts to get the rig in the right position and i was almost jacknifed when i did it. I put her (the caravan) back in storage today. Straight in in one go with only a foot clearance either side. I'm sure 'taint' me. The worst bit in all this is the numbeer of people sitting about with a drink watching every move (mistake). Is there a collective noun for a group of drinkers watching other people struggle? ttfn T

Hi G and M, I'm impressed by the emoticons but where do you find 'em. a picture says a thousand words and it's true. I could ask my grandchildren but they would only try to put one over on me, so how do you do it? (in grandpaw language if you please). ttfn T

Thanks N, Yes, you're right. I never read beyond the error message as it seemed pointless. It does then contadict itself and gives a response to the search question. Seems odd but it's now a quirk i'm aware off. I'm learning! ttfn T

Hiya M, When i try a search, in order not to repeat a topic already covered as i need to post 5 times, i just get something called 'Board Message' that says "Sorry, an error has occured. If you are unsure how to use a feature... blah blah" Never mind; I will simply post what i think anyway and risk repetition. You all must have had one hell of a problem at one time with spam or rudies to have such draconion rules. I haven't come across it anywhere else. Am I up to 3 now? ttfn T

As a 'Trainee Member' but older member; why can't I use the search facility? I do know there are restrictions on me but 'search' isn't one of them so what is happening? ttfn T

Hiya Gteuk, I can't seem to do anything on this site; can't reply, can't post a subject, can't view any photos, can't even access some threads. I'm on other sites and don't seem to have any problems ascertaining how they work; where am I going wrong? Tony.
