  1. I lost the code for my radio once. The local ford dealer got it for me by checking the unit and using their database. I think they charged me about
  2. Yes it would be usefull having a cash machine in the back, but they didn,t manage to get it in and they abandoned the car down the road. The boys in blue found it, I got it back minus all the rear seats. Took two months to get the insurance company to sort it out and ended up with four captains chairs instead of the usual five rear seats.
  3. Thanks for all the welcomes (if thats a word) Mumof4 asked about the one that went up in flames. Happened September 2006, the car was a mark II on a Y plate, I one of the very early mark II. Had 100K on the clock and had been driving fine. Driving into town one day and the car started started to play up, almost stalling etc and then engine warning lights started coming on. Turned round to try and get back home but the car cut out about five mins walk from home. Left the car at the side of the road and walked home. returned fifteen minutes later to find the road blocked by a big crowd and fire engine. Didn't take long to put two and two together, pushed my way to front of the crowd to see flames pouring from the engine and firemen breaking though the windows to try and open the bonnet. End of the tail, car was written off and the insurance money plus
  4. Thought it was time to join and make some posts, having been visiting the site for the last couple of years now. I have owned four gals now all have been V6, first one in 1996. One was sold, one was a company car (not working for that company any more) third went up in flames and just had the o/s drive shaft replaced on the fourth. I have over the years experienced many problems but still luv driving 20K plus a year in the old bus. The family seem to enjoy it as well, kids now growing up find the back of my wife's cougar a bit small now. Her's is a V6 as well but does not give us as many problems as the gal. Hello to everyone Kev ps I hope I got my signature etc right
