  1. Remove the off side (rght hand) front indicator light unit (undo clamping screw and slide out if I remember correctly) and right behind it is the low pressure fitting.
  2. I watched them replace my screen a couple of years ago and as far as I can remember there are two power connectors - one each side - access under the two top side pieces on the dash at the bottom of the screen pillars. Additionally I seem to remember a central earth connection up behind the interior light unit. Hope this helps Ross Smith 1999 1.9Tdi Ghia.
  3. My front anti-rollbar links had to be replaced at 30,000miles - I drive a rough country lane every day to and from work. Easy job to do. 99 Ford Galaxy 1.9 TDi Ghia
  4. Thanks for replies. Found it best to remove trim around fuse unit - unscrew top support and then place two screwdriverss either side to release after unclipping two bottom clips. Not altogether an easy process - after dropping the unit down it is still not easy to get at relays as some are underneath others. However managed what I needed in the end. Thanks to everyone for all the great tips I have seen on the forum.
  5. I am after the front windscreen wiper relay - My handbook says 'The central fuse box is located under the instrument panel on the driver's side. It contains the fuses and relays in three levels. In order to replace a relay ask for a ford dealer for assistance' It then lists the relays it says are on level two and three of the 'central fuse box - under instrument panel level 1.
  6. Can anyone tell me how to get access to the relays behind the fuses under the steering wheel. I have looked in the Tis but cannot find any instructions. I can see two clips at the bottom of the fuse block but they don't release it. I presume there must be another retainer which then releases the unit allowing access to the relays behind. Any help much appreciated. Thanks
  7. Early cars had infra -red remote control - remote key fob had small hole pointing forwards with led (like your tv remote) and pick-up sensors by mirror and on roof at rear door. Later cars (from 98 on I think) had radio remote control so no sensors to be seen. They use basic wire aerial - probably as part of wiring harness somewhere. hope this helps.
  8. Remote closure of windows and roof was removed for 98 or 99 model year and only works with the key in the door. This was to ensure that the driver was watching the car to ensure no trapped limbs etc in the closing windows. Although the windows do have sensors to help stop trapping they can still severly hurt a young child if his arm or head is in the way. A number of vehicle manufacturers had injuries occur and made this change.
  9. The horn button broke on my 96 Ghia and I was able to get the horn button and switch. The Ford part number was 1016927. It came as a kit with both switches and the two plastic top buttons.
