  1. After scouring the Galaxy wiring diagrams, it would appear that the V6 doesn't have an oil level sensor, but mine does have a wiring fault between the low level sensor & instrument cluster or worse still a duff inst cluster, so tonight I shall be mainly fault finding on wiring looms ^_^
  2. I was looking for something like that during the oil change as it was up on jacks with the undertray off, but failed to find anything of sensor looking hardware, found a few knock sensors and other bits but nothing at a level that would be used to measure low oil unless the one just above the sump joint has a protrusion sticking down to the sump :(
  3. Your right, my last resort before I spend big bucks on parts, still not sure where the level sensor is though, had a good root around the V6 cd and couldn't find it, pretty sure the system uses one but where it is only VW knows. :(
  4. I read that from an earlier post and was leaving that as the last resort - thanks for the reply and info
  5. Hi all, my galaxy v6 has had a duff pressure sensor (blue one) causing the flashing oil can and an annoying beep - when I replaced the sensor and carried out an oil change as well, the annoying beep has gone but the flashing can is still there. The handbook suggests low oil level which it isn't whre would the level sensor be on the engine couldn't see anything on the sump. Also VAG-COM didn't show any releated faults. Cheers
  6. Greetings all, I have a Ford MFD version A without audio, anyone know where to get them repaired Thanks
  7. The only draw back to towing with the cover on is the windows will suffer from scratching by the cover flapping in the wind even if the cover has soft material on the inside they do pick up dust and dirt which will scratch the soft perspex
  8. Did this job last week actually, Take out the air filter entirely, insert a suitable bolt into the tensioner unit hole as viewed from the front of car, tighten up until the belt goes slack enough to slide off using 13mm socket undo the three bolts attaching the unit remove tensioner. For the refit a bit of bent coat hangar is good for holding the belt whilst refitting the tensioner, the rest is simple
  9. My Gal had this pipe broken so to the box of copper pipe offcuts and dug out some tubing trimmed to length then drilled a hole, now for the 'T' piece, chamfered the tube end to roughly the diameter of the internal diameter of the tube drilled earlier. Mated them together applied some 60/40 solder - jobs a good un :)
