S reg V6 Si. I noticed last week that the winch mechanism to release the spare is knackered. It lowered the wheel about an inch and then packed up! Now wheel rattles but cannot be removed should I need it! Does anybody know the best way to remove the wheel and carrier/winch mechanism complete so that I can sort out a repair? I can see two nuts when looking upwatds through the spokes of the wheel but they are at too awkward an angle to fit a socket on to remove. I am unemployed so it needs to be a DIY job!

Sorry for a stupid question but where is the pump on the Mk i V6? I have looked in both wheelarches having taken out the indicators as well as underneath the car and all around the underbonnet area but so far cannot find it! There is nothing in the ns wheelarch and only air con pipes in the os wheelarch!

Hi! After 17 years and 350,000 miles our family Volvo passed awat last week (God knows why I serviced it every 10 years even though it did not need it) Anyway I bought a 1999 2.8 Galaxy Si - seems fun to drive but one thing has been driving me nuts! I can see the front and rear foglights. I can see the warning lights near the main light switch to tell me if they are working but I cannot find the damm switch to turn them on! Help this is driving me mad!
