when you replace the ECT (Engine Coolant Temperature) sensor, do you have to replace with the same color, car is 1999 galaxy TDi, my was yellow ring new one is all black,, since replaceing the ect my glow plug light takes 15-20 seconds to go out weather car is hot or cold,( use to take 1-2 seconds to go out).................. thanks

If you mean you can swivel the whole track rod an inch or so each way, that's normal - there is a ball joint at the other end connected to the steering rack. Many THanks

have just fitted new track rod ends on both sides,, have notice if you hold the rod you can move it slightly like a twist.... is this normal.......... thanks

rattle over uneven roads or any bumps.... rattle is under the car,, it is there when going over uneven roads, but with the brakes on slightly it goes, have check all brakes but can`t find nothing wrong, any one got any clues... Was told it was my anti-roll bar drop link which i have replaced both sides.... also track rod ends both sides,,check the lower ball joints decided to change both sides,, guess what rattle still there, would it have any thing to do with the brakes, had new disc and pads fitted in january 09,, front and back,, anyone got a clue,,, its costing me a fortune at the moment....

can anyone tell me what would happen if i disconnected the wire from the engine coolant temperature sensor which goes to the diesel engine control module. as i know why my diesel takes longer to start when warm or hot,, Before anyone says i have replaced the engine coolant temperature sensor... car starts lovey with this wire diconnected........... thanks :lol:

:blink: after my last post and thanks for all the replies,,,post read.....can anyone help, my ford galaxy TDi 1999 runs fine starts great when cold, but when the engine starts to warm up from then on it takes a good 10 seconds of turning over before it starts.. even trying to start as soon as switch off it takes ages before it starts...... anyone got any ideals.......... thanks my new post is,, i have change the battery,starter with new ones, and also fuel and air filters, and engine coolant temp sensor, ( this little problem is working out very expensive.....) BUT STILL GOT THE SAME PROBLEM TAKES AGES BEFORE IT STARTS WHEN ENGINE WARM OR HOT........ ANYTHING ELSE I CAN TRY......... THANKS

my galaxy syarts and runs fine, but when i switch off and go back to start it within 10 mintues it will take 15-20 seconds of turning over before it fires, any one got any ideals, car is galaxy TDi 1999 T................. thanks
