Find a LARGE open car park, engage steering on FULL lock and do a 180/360 to see if you get any clunking/clicking strange noises ( I think this works for these cars, please correct me if I'm wrong ) treid that no noise ?nothing showing on vag .com either ,cheers tim :unsure:

hi got a problem with my galaxy tdi auto 2002 ,feels like i have a puncture sometimes when putting the gas down .realley bad vibration and knocking coming from offside front .if i take my foot off the gas the problemgoes away ,seems to get worse when turning into left hand corners ,please help spacecowboy :(

hi just had the same problem after a bottom hose split changed water pump to no avail.ended up to be a air block in the bottom of the rad .just drop your bottom hose and when the engine is cold fill up slowly with coolant with the engine running and pressing on all hoses to disperce the air .hope this helps tim :D

It integral with the drain plug - which is a dual affair. Bother to search the forum and you see plenty of explanations and pictures. yes done that it seems to be just the drain plug on this gearbox as fluid was coming out even though i had lost fluid on the rebuild.this seems to be for the mk1 autos ,tim

hi ,had a grinding and a knocking noise on my gal 1.9tdi mark II.sourced the forum and replaced the offside gearbox flange and intermitant drive shaft ,knocking has gone but grinding noise still there ,checked all cv joints alll seam to be ok ,any ideas ,spacecowboy

hi ,does anybody know the syptoms of a dual mass flywheel failure .the gearbox clutch area makes a hell of a noise ,but goes away when i depress the clutch regards spacecowboy. ford galaxy tdi 115 2001

can anybody help,i am about to change a clutch and release bearing on a 2001 tdi galaxy ,any thing i should know before i begin ,spacecowboy :(

Thanks for your reply. i hear what you are saying about the failing release bearing. its this that i replaced yesterday. the clutch luckily was still ok( i used to do loads of work on cars). this galaxy also towed a little i believe before we got it. it only had 36000 mles on, and we knew the people we got it off. my problem now appears that i cannot get fluid back into the master cylinder. its a dual one on these, and fed from the brake master cylinder.i was told that the pressure to hold the pedal up comes from the pressure on the release bearing from the clutch. but because i cant get fluid into the system now. suspect faulty master clyinder now! normal ways of bleeding (as you have described well) have not worked, and i have even tried a vacum bleeder. this sucks fluid through the system. all unsucessfull so far.!! might need a box of matches and a gallon of petrol to fix this one! (dont think my wife would be too happy though!) its interesting to hear what you say about the slack on the pedal to be normal, that will help when i get it to bleed. thanks chris hi chris how easy was it to change the clutch on your gal ,was it a tdi

about two months ago i had a problem with loss of power, read our forums decided to change my maf. bought one from gsf, fitted it to car still same problem. decided to buy a vag.com cable, pluged it in came up with maf sensor, has anybody had the same problem, cheers spacecowboy

hi i had a recent power loss changed maf still the same ,had a look at the turbo and the pipe going into the actuator is slit very badly ,will this cause my power loss.its the pipe in the middle of the actuator ,spacecowboy
