  1. Hi, I want to remove my wiper linkage for cleaning, but can't unplug the motor. Is this likely to be just stuck, or is there some bizarre technique for unplugging it? Rob
  2. thanks Smoggy, I guess the clips are just 'jammed' on the plug. I'll have another go. Zork.
  3. Hi, I have the same problem as many others. Front wipers slow moving then stopping etc. I sucessfully managed to detach the linkage in order to clean it, but I couldn't get it out as I couldn't unplug the electrics from the motor. I am obviously doing something wrong but what? In addition I only damaged one piece of trim and lost one screw!! I was appauled to see the top of the suspension legs exposed and full of rusty water. Shouldn't these have a rubber cover?
  4. I'm even more confused now! Surely lb/in is PSI ( pounds per square inch) which is what i have inflated my tyres to.
  5. I'm a little confused about the tyre pressures. i have mine as per the handbook, 31 and 34 I think, everything feels fine. How can there be this 10psi difference across models. There must be some reason for it. By the way i have Nokians, they seem ok and you can change the ringtones :P
  6. I've been getting around 24mpg from the 2.3 ghia doing mixed miles ( mainly using air-con). I have calculated this by how much fuel i have actually used and not by the computer. I'm certainly not a 'lead foot' either. Do people really get 29mpg. If so I'm very impressed. :D
  7. thanks everybody. Strange set up really. That wasn't quite how the salesman explained it. Sigh :D Zork
  8. One last thing. Why does the climate control have two temperature settings when only the front one can be controlled?? Zork.
  9. Well thanks for the replies. I don't have vents in the roof so i guess my question has been answered. Rob.
  10. I think the climate control is dual, as there are seperate temp' and fan controls for the front and rear. Rob.
  11. Hi I'm new here, so hello! I've recently bought a '99 Galaxy Ghia X. It ( aledgedly), has climate control. There is only one specific vent for the rear which is by the rear passenger wheel arch. The problem. When the CC is set to 'Auto' the front CC works ok. Nothing comes out of the rear vent. When the rear fan setting is increased to 1 below Max, the rear fan kicks in. However the air from it isn't cold. It is more like normal blower temperature. Any ideas?
