  1. Hi Having just spent about a week to'in and fro'in between garage and them to'in and fro'in between the dealer I thought I would post this incase anyone else needs the info at any point. The garage broke my passenger door speaker grille while replacing the window mechanism (under warranty). and gave the car back to me without telling me. :D Luckily I noticed so next day complained. They said the dealer had done the work and would replace the panel (complete door card
  2. so reading one topic on light bulbs you said something about MOD are you in the army or married in?
  3. Are you bored....?
  4. And another reason I think the handbook covers the MK1 - I have just had to find the Vin Plate for the trim code (apparently the dealer can't figure it out from the vin no??). The handbook says vin no. under N/S lower of windscreen, and centre of windscreen scuttle panel (under bonnet) and the vin plate on the O/S b pillar. The vin nunbers are where the book says (and they match each other - which is nice!) however the only thing on the b pillar is the tyre pressure label. I have found the vin plate (hidden on the OS under the bonnet, behind the hinge) :P
  5. When I ripped all the stereo gear out my V5 Seat Toledo I decided I wouldn't pimp the galaxy but 6 months later I am getting itchy fingers and my ears need MORE sounds. However on a practical note I bought the gal for a reason (a transit van to more stuff) and the 2 kids etc etc. On the way to work this morning I had a brain wave :P My idea, good or bad, is to rip the guts out of a spare seat and use it (in the folded back position) to incorporate a 12" sub and amp...... But without laying my hands on one and getting dirty I won't know.....hence I don't want to spend a fortune. Crazy I know but thats it. :P
  6. I might be pushing my luck here or asking for something for nothing but here goes...... Is there anyone in the Hampshire area who has a dirty/broken or untidy (but intact) removalalbe rear anthracite cloth seat which they can donate to a new home? I want to hack one apart as an experiment (which if (when) it is fails horribly won't have cost my skint self a fortune to discover). Ideadly the main part I require working is the tilting removing base frame. Thanks I don't expect this will get me very far but thanks if any one can help. :(
  7. MK2 galaxy zetec 1.9TDi (115) I want to swap out the factory speakers for my Infinity's. Does any one know if you can buy a connector lead to join in to the wiring harness to stop me having to hack the terminal plug off? Thanks :)
  8. They are only clipped onto the mirror motor. Try to get you fingers behind the mirror glass (you can do this by moving the mirror glass in toward the car) then pull gently and evenly. They come off quite easily and clip back on just as easily.
  9. Sorry - I posted this quickly at work near the end of lunch! :) I've got a 53 plate Zetec 1.9TDi (115).
  10. I have done a quick search of the forum but can't see answer. With my MK2 galaxy the handbook seems to cover mainly MK1 features and all the illustrations show MK1 trim for example the triangular shape centre air vent instead of the 3 way version. Have I got the wrong handbook OR were Ford keep costs down and being lazy?? Thanks
  11. I have a Mk2 Galaxy Zetec 1.9 TDi (115) with the standard front and back parking sensors. Does anyone know if you can fit a towbar (removeable or otherwise) and if so does it set the sensors off? Thanks
