  1. Hi all, I have a problem with my 97 mondeo overheating. General driving around is fine, but when I stop the temperature gauge goes up til it shows it is about to overheat. The fan doesnt kick in until it is nearly in the red. However if I turn the aircon on the guage sits nicely in the normal range and at a constant temperature. Is there a fault with the fan or any other ideas? thanks for reading
  2. Hi, I have a 2000, 2ltr zetec mondeo with SRS (Drivers side only) and mine flashes 4 times then a gap, then 4 times again, repeatedly, Any ideas ?? Thanks Hi had the same problem. Ended up being the connection under my seat had come loose when I was cleaning my car and had pushed my seat back. This site should help you identify the problem http://www.mirez.co.uk/Airbag.htm
  3. thanks for the comments everyone. Can I just ask how high does your needle go on the temperature gauge? and does it rise much when stopped? thanks
  4. Sorry, it is a 1997 2.0L mondeo
  5. Hi all hope someone can help me with this problem or offer some suggestions. My mondeo was running cold and would never heat up. I presumed the thermostat was stuck open so I changed it. Now since changing the thermostat the car starts to overheat at idle such as when stopped at lights. I dont know if it is just a coincidence of just changing the thermostat but presumed it had something to do with it. I replaced all the coolant today and still no difference. Please help
