  1. I don't think anyone on this thread has a "Ford Engine" Not sure what you are on about. Taking the Pi%% I would guess. My galaxy has a VW engine anyway. My V6 had a JAG engine
  2. I have same problem but not boiling, or water loss. Had quite a few Fords now...err 10 ish, and everyone has had a new water pump. V6 mondeo was a bitch cos it blow heads. This one looks tight too
  3. Tried thermostat and the lower pipes are warm but not hot. Normaly when the water pumps go on cars they overheat rapidly...not these
  4. Just changed my thermostat and it was facing the other way round
  5. Ok. Loads of this here but all differ in symptoms. Every time wife pulled up the drive the fans were on for a few minutes. Temp was at normal 90. Coolant was fine. So I guessed it was temerature tranmiter switch. Or what ever its called nowadays. Today we was on the motorway for 15 mins and BEEP BEEP temp was nearly at the red. I pulled over and could see anything wrong. Waited 2 mins and all was back to 90deg again. Was the thermostat sticking hmmmm. I tried to get it to over head in the drive and it took me 15 mins to get it to normal temp. Took it for a trash. Came back fans were on. The top hose was quite hot but the bottom was only warm with not much pressure in at all. Now there is a hose which leads to the front of the engine block. Don't know what it is. Looks like a thermostat housing but thats at the normal near side cylinder head...isnt it. Anyway. That was hot at the block and 6 inch lower it was cold. So i took it off and nothing came out of the block end, only the rad end. Also when I took the expansion cap off it didn't hiss much. Put my finger in and I wouldn't say it was red hot. I am getting a rad (expansion)cap and thermostat tomorrow, so ill give it a go. Hope to GOD the pump is ok. It will run all day at normal temp. Normaly when pumps go they get hot QUICK
  6. Thanks mate.Oh and it was
  7. Hi.I have a mk2 115bhp. Before I bought it, I test drove a 150bhp model. It had stacks more power plus it does more to the mpg  Can someone tell me what the diferance is between the 2, also does anyonw here recommend any good tunning mods
  8. I started to strip everthing down to check motor and ars etc. When it came to taking the big cover off, it sounded like it was stuck down, so I stopped and just sprayed wd in side.Is the bit plate, (the one with a bolt at each end) stuck down in any way? I didnt want to pull it away and find water pees in and kill the wiper motor
  9. I don't think thats the problem cos they dont judder. Also when they stop mid screen, if u turn ignition off then on they work ....then stop
