I have a T reg Galaxy 2.3 GhiaX, and it suddenly developed this problem recently. i dont have much experiance with mechanical repairs,But i followed the advice in this article and have stripped down the whole assembly.and after 3hrs 20 mins i now have the wipers working as new. Hi Im sorry i havent been able to reply to everyones posts the engine cuts out and i lose everything like power steering and clocks,although it starts back up and then after a while it occurs again. A friend of mine used his car tester/computer and it said enigine speed sensor was faulty but no error code. I just wondered where it was so i could get an idea if it was easy to repair myself

Could anyone tell me where this item is located?,and how much they are roughly to replace.

I did ring the RAC,and the guy didnt even know how to remove the door card. in the end i took it to our local ford dealer and got a lock and 2 new keys The lock and 2 keys were 43 pounds,and 71 pound for labour,but they did a very tidy job without any damage to the doors

Thanks for the quick response,i did read the guide how to remove the door card,although my doors look alittle differant than the ones shown. Would i be able to remove the barrel with the key still in place,or would the jammed key make removal of the handel / lock impossible?

Hi Everyone I have a 1999 Galaxy 2.3 GhiaX,i am having trouble with the drivers door lock. The cause of the problem is the remote locking key ,is jammed in the lock and refuses to come out. Could anyone give me any advice on how to go about fixing this problem or a walk through how to remove the door cards & locks on this model?
