  1. ok will try search again, thanks
  2. Hi, here's another case of the alternator pulley giving up (at 100k) only problem is that the belt was thrown off when the pulley virtually came off the alternator and I'm not 100% sure how it routes, have a replacement alternator and tensioner installed so just the belt to go. Does anyone have a picture available? Thanks Have the car outside bonnet up so hopefully can get fixed this evening. Thanks :D
  3. Another option is to replace the AntiRoll Bar when you do the bushes but use the V6 one as I believe it is a larger diameter one which 'd reduce roll during cornering.
  4. All Has anyone removed/documented removal of a Mk2 Gal/Alhambra/Sharan front bumper? I need to check an accident repair to ensure the bumber was replaced rather than 'bodged' I've had a look in the FAQ's but no joy. Obviously I can just have a go but knowing my luck I'll miss a vital fixing...:-) and be cursing for ages.... many thanks for any guidance.
  5. Fiat Multipla, Honda FR-V - 6 Seaters VW Touran, Toyota Corolla Verso, Ford S-Max, Mazda 5, Renault Grand Scenic Happy Hunting
  6. Oh and don't forget the SEAT Alhambra and VW Sharan options as well. Generally get the best trim spec you can afford, you get more toys... :)
  7. How's about these? http://www.lowcostcaraudio.co.uk/shop/_sea...J/Audio-Visual/
  8. Yep I'm TimsBamma on Detailing World as well. Car was last clayed, SRP'd, CG Blitz'd & Collinite 476'd last September, I just wish I had time to do it all again. MPV's are to big...:-) and anyway I have the wife's Astra Coupe SE2 to do as well. Foam guns are fun  Here's hoping I can on Saturday AM. well at least wash and stick some Collinite on it, desperately needs re claying et al tho. Add to the list installing the new speakers and Amp to go in and the wet sanding needed on two doors and the inevitable stonechips (hmm perhaps a few days off are needed)
  9. Wiper Motor or Water Jet not working? If Wiper Motor check the wiring linking body to tailgate, common wire breaking point. If water jet not working have you checked the connections on the water bottlebehind the arch liner in the Front N/S, to see if motor operates? Do you have a puddle in the Passenger footwell? If not check here anyway as my water pipe seperated but didn't leak (must've had a valve connection) I'd been without a rear water jet for 18mths (since buying the car) and had stripped all the tailgate covers cabling arch liners and lord knows what else before wondering if previous owner had sealed a broken pipe (they hadn't but it had seperated)
  10. You can get proper mudflaps which fit around the Sillcover as well http://www.seat.co.uk/generator/su/uk/SEAT...ories/main.html I'm sure that there is a VW version as well
  11. If front wear sensor is fine then you'll probably need to loop backl the rear sensor connection so that the management sees a circuit completion signal from the pad sensor (that isn't there) I think (could be wrong) that if you cut the sensor cable off the old worn out pads and plug into the wiring loom that it should fool the ECU. Waits to be proven wrong... :D
  12. Well I've just had 4 x Falken ZE912 97XL tyres fitted at Micheldever Tyres. www.protyre.co.uk all in for
  13. Yep and no one had said where the water was....... Which is why I said IF the water was in the drivers footwell. Thus the rust and the location of the water might relate to two seperate faults or indeed the water ingress has nothing to do with the rusty arch. Good luck with your problem.
  14. If the water is in the drivers footwell then I'd check the scuttle panel drains, they may well be blocked. or if the mk1 is similar to the mk2 then the black plastic trim that the windscreen wiper goes thro is fixed by clips if these break water can leak through, mine did...
