Thanks FredT, Replaced a blown 10 amp fuse that was exactly where you said it would be. All Doors now work perfectly and the alarm LED is doing exactly what it should too. Thankyou very much Fred. I (and I suspect a few others!! :)) owe you a pint!!!! Even spoke to a qualified Ford Technician who said if the drivers door wont open then the mechanism must be broken...... :) Thanks again FredT Dave.

Hi Fred, The passenger side door does not operate the central locking. The central locking has deceased, it is no more, it has shuffled off this mortal .......etc,etc. :) The passenger door just locks/unlocks on its own. The drivers door is locked and cannot be opened by key or with the handle inside. The alarm LED also does not light up when the ignition is operated. Do you know where the fuse for central locking is?? Cheers, Dave. PS The Electric windows still work perfectly but the global closing feature obviously does not as this operates from the central locking.

The central locking on my 96 GLX has stopped working. I cannot open the Drivers door at all, from the outside with key or from inside with the handle. Presumably this is deadlocked? The passenger door opens with the key and the rear doors are all unlockable from the handles. I have removed the Central Locking/Alarm module from under the passenger seat and left it out for an hour. Plugged it back in but no joy. Is it likely to be this module? Any ideas welcome.... :angry:

I have a 96 2.0 GLX Petrol and can get 28 mpg on average but have had 37 mpg on motorway runs. :)
