Hi, I have a Mk 2 Galaxy with a 5000 stereo. I want to play mp3 cd,s in the car. I can't work out the din size of the 5000, it looks like it may be 1.5 din but i noticed on this forum that someone has swapped their 5000 for a 6000 which i thought was a double din. If it is double din is the CD changer connection universal? or do I have to change the cd changer too. hope someone can help Many thanks Dave

52 115 Diesel Ghia I have got a JVC single din radio/cd player with MP3 capability. I have noticed that there is a socket for a CD changer on the back of the unit. Can i just do a straight swap with the Ford stereo ( obviously I will have to get a DIN plate ) Cheers Dave

Hi, I'm looking for a second hand near side door mirror housing. The glass is ok on mine but the housing has decided to exploded into a jigsae of plastic bits (with a little help from a gate post). Is there anywhere that breaks down Galaxys anyone could recommend? Also I need a set of HT leads (

Hi, If I lightly press the accelerator pedal when cruising along especially at lower speeds like 30mph, the car starts to kangaroo. Ive tried diconnecting the MAF but theres no change. Any ideas?? Cheers Dave

Help me settle an argument please. I am certain that I have read somewhere that my 2.0 i 1998 DOHC Galaxy is 8 Valve but a friend of mine says it must be 16 valve. Please help and point me in the right direction of any websites with data that prove it. Thanks Dave

Hello me again, Has anyone bought the Haynes manual? Is it worth it, because every job on the Galaxy seems to take 700 hours, and involves taking the engine out. Thanks Dave

Hello, Does anyone know where I can get cheap spares for my air con? Specifically an evaporator. I have tried a company called Auto Climate but they do not stock the part. 2.0 Ghia 1998. Cheers Dave

Does anybody know how easy it is to fit a starter motor on a 98 2.0 ghia? It may only need cleaning but as usual my local Ford garage has told me that I need a new one! thanks Dave
