Hi All, I wired my towbar :D now when i put brakes on all the lights flash :lol: does anyone have any ideas what i did wrong, im going to take it all out & start again, i cut into the wires that go to the lights on my galaxy.

Now im getting confused, (not hard believe me), are all the wires availabel on one side or do i have to take from both sides, also a 7 way bypass, what is this where do i get one & what do i wire it to?, or should i just cut into the original wires, i have a 1.9 diesel, may be a few fuses blown soon. Do you know what the colours are for wiring, i have the colours for the pin/towbar elctrics but not the galaxy colours, & can they be found in 1 side or do i have to wire it to both sides?. Hey - if you find out the answer to this question, could you please let me know, as I'm currently doing the same job! I've managed to wire in both indicator sides, the tail and stop lights, but that's where I hit standstill! I can't seem to find the reversing or fog light wire. Sure - I can see the colours of when they're in the boot lid, but where they go from here, I don't know. I took the towbar cable into the offside jack storage area, so hopefully there in there somewhere. When I look at where the bulbs plug in, the cables that I think I'm looking for are black/blue and grey/white, but as I say, I can't see where they go to from here. Anyone able to help? Graham, You said you have managed to wire most of it, are all the wires in the side where the jack is kept?, i can find the nearside ones.

Hi All, Can someone help please, i have a 2001 ford galaxy (y reg), i have fitted a towbar & threaded the elctrics wire through, this is now where i have the problem, does anyone know the wire colours for the lights that i need to cut into & can they all be accessed from where the jack is stored, i am quite competent & not worried about electrics., Hope someone can help.
